Karlie is a native Californian who has been practicing photography in the New York City area for ten years. She holds a BFA in Art & Design concentrating in Photography from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Karlie takes an unposed, discreet and candid approach to shooting live events. Karlie's background working in film production in LA before moving to NYC showcases her expertise in offering services in both photography and cinematography. Karlie Louise Photography offers current and curated services in both mediums including social cinema reels, full scale wedding coverage, media/branding events and more.
Some of her clients include, Heineken, Guerlain Paris, Spindrift, Dos Equis, Samsung, DE-NADA Tequila, Go-Puff, Grey Goose, Mujen, Olay, Maybelline, Essie, Amika and more.

Fact 1 | I was born in the summertime in a small country town in the mountains of California near Yosemite and I love to see wildflowers in the spring.
Fact 2 | I was a serious student athlete growing up and loved playing volleyball and softball in school and on club teams across the west coast.
Fact 3 | I be-friended a feral cat during the pandemic without knowing anything about cats. Now she is the best companion I could ever ask for. Her name is Lady Peppers!
Fact 4 | At 17, I submitted my photography portfolio to Cal Poly SLO in California and was one of only 12 freshman admitted to their highly competitive program.
Fact 5 | I moved to NYC at 23 years old into a bedroom so small that I could nearly touch either side of the walls when standing in it! I worked at a cupcake shop while trying to build my business.
Fact 6 | I take inspiration from the methods used in street photography and never like people to be very aware of my camera when I am shooting events.
